Storycrafter allows you to make changes to both stories and projects, both for web-embeds and for kiosks. However, there are some differences in how this update process is handled, depending on the platform.
Kiosks
- Storycrafter saves changes you make to projects or stories as you make them. For example, if you edit a caption for an image in a gallery, once you save this change the caption is updated in the cloud. However, this change is not automatically transferred to the a kiosk which contains the story.
- In order for any changes to appear on a kiosk, you must re-publish the kiosk (using the same steps as before) in order for this change to be visible on the kiosk.
Web Embeds
Unlike kiosk projects, which require a distinct publishing process, web-based projects are automatically updated whenever you save changes to either your stories or your projects.
Note
Changes made to a story will appear in all places where the story is used. For example, let's say you have a quiz story and you use this story in two projects, one as a web-embed, and the other as a kiosk. If you edit the story, your changes are automatically included in the web embed project. And, the next time that the kiosk project is published the changes to your story will be visible in the kiosk.
