A slide layout defines what content is on the slide and how that content is arranged on the screen. Storycrafter offers dozens of different layouts from which to choose.
Content is contained within block-like regions on the slide. Some regions are designed to hold text content, while others are designed to hold digital assets, such as images or videos.
When you add a slide you select the layout you would like to use.
Switching Layouts
You can still switch to a different layout even after you have added content to a slide. When editing a slide, click "Layout" in the menu to open the layout window. Click the new layout you would like to use, and then click select. Content that you've added to blocks is automatically moved to their new position in the new layout. If the new layout has more content blocks than the previous layout, you will see these as empty blocks ready for you to edit. If the new layout has fewer content blocks than the previous layout, content in existing blocks may be hidden. These hidden blocks are not deleted. So, for example, if you change the layout back to the previous version, these hidden blocks will be shown again.
